About Us

Since 2021, we have been the only women-owned and family-owned event production services company in the Orange County area. We have 30+ years of event-planning experience.

It all started with a friendship…

The two of us met in college during Panhellenic Rush (Go Delta Gamma!) at California State University Sacramento, where we unknowingly began a friendship that would last a lifetime. We organized events for our sorority and student body when we discovered our shared love for bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and making events happen. After graduation, we both headed into the “real world,” building careers in corporations and nonprofit organizations. Along the way came marriage, motherhood, four wonderful kids, and plenty of climbing up those corporate ladders.

But while raising our families, we never stopped being involved in our communities. We served on parent-teacher boards, fundraising committees, chaired major fundraising events, sold countless raffle tickets, and donated hundreds of volunteer hours to causes.

Basically, if an event needed planning, fundraising, organizing, decorating, or someone saying, “Don’t worry, we’ve got this,” we were probably there.

Then we had an idea…

After more than 24 years in corporate marketing, sales, event production, and event management, we were ready for a change. We were tired of the corporate grind and wanted to create something that felt more meaningful—and much more fun.  Throughout our careers and our lives as moms, we noticed something: event companies didn’t always give customers what they really wanted. They wanted someone to handle all the details: unique crafts, reliable event rentals, creative carnival games, and most importantly, a reliable team that actually listened and responded to feedback. We kept seeing the same problem over and over again until it finally hit us: "Why don’t we just create the company we wished existed?"

In 2021, in the middle of COVID, we decided that, apparently, we hadn't taken on enough challenges in life already, so we acquired Orange County (OC) Laser Tag. People thought we were crazy, and they weren’t wrong, but we knew something they didn’t: we knew our clients.

We began transforming the business around what our customers actually wanted, especially the women often behind the scenes making events happen. Because, at the end of the day, women run events. Corporate events, school parties, nonprofit fundraisers, birthday parties, community events, city programs—you name it. More often than not, women plan, organize, coordinate, budget, fundraise, decorate, communicate, and make sure everyone has a great time.

We understood that perspective because we were those women. As mothers of four, we also knew what kids, teenagers, and adults actually wanted at an event. We knew what made an event memorable, what could turn an ordinary party into “That was so much fun!” and what corporations needed to make their product launches and employee events a success.

Five years later…

And now, here we are. As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, OC Fun Events has grown from that crazy idea into a full-service event planning and production company serving Southern California. What started with a college friendship, a love for events, a crazy idea, and one very brave decision in the middle of a pandemic has become something so much bigger than we imagined.
